Linking Policy for Section Websites
In order for a link to be established from the AAPT homepage to a section homepage, the following must be included on the section page:
- Clear identification of the section on the homepage.
- A reciprocating link back to AAPT in College Park (http://www.aapt.org).
- A point of contact for section information on the homepage.
- The URL of the section homepage.
The following information must be sent to AAPT's Web Services Manager at aapt-web@aapt.org. This information needs to be sent from the section representative; indicating the section President's approval.
- A technical point of contact for the homepage.
- Written notification that the URL to be used is the official section homepage.
Any information regarding updates/corrections to the section officers information on the AAPT homepage needs to go through the Member Services Department aapt-memb@aapt.org. This is to ensure that all AAPT section documents are updated.
