Biography
I was born in Seoul, Korea, in November 24, 1988, and during my childhood in Korea I was pretty normal and not crazy about math or physics. I read a lot of books, especially history books, which to this day I continue to read at a undiminished rate. I'm not sure how I started to become interested in sciences, and my memories of experiences regarding math or science are mixed up. Some things I remember include visiting overnight at a observatory and winning a state/province science competition. I'm sure` numerous exposures and experiences from times immemorial played a role in growing my interests, and it's a shame I don't remember them too well.

My family landed in the United States on Spring Equinox of 2000 and settled in Northern Virginia where we've lived ever since (minus my father who 3 years afterwards had returned to Korea). I had a lot of fun (more like the lack thereof) learning English, and only by the end of 7th grade was I sufficiently fluent and comfortable. That summer, 2001, I went to CTY and took Math Modeling where we did lots of interesting things, especially graph theory. In 8th grade I participated in Mathcounts where I placed 1st chapter, 3rd state, and 21st nationally.
