The Physics Teacher

February 2024
Volume 62 Issue 2

This Month's cover. “Only Rainbows After Rain” won first place in the “contrived” category in the 2023 AAPT High School Physics Photo Contest. Photographer Sophia Uselman attends Columbus School for Girls in Columbus, Ohio (Kevin Sweeney, physics teacher). The largest raindrops on the surface of the iPad magnify the pixels, appearing as a grid of white dots, while the smallest drops sometimes reveal beautiful colors and combinations. The photo contest, sponsored by Vernier Science Education, begins on March 1 and runs through May 15, 2024. See https://www.aapt.org/Programs/photocontest/index.cfm for more details.
