What are the dates of the Winter Meeting?
The meeting will take place January 14 to 17, 2023.
Where will the Winter Meeting take place?
The meeting will take place at the Hilton Portland Downtown, 921 SW Sixth Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97204

What is the main hotel?
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hilton Portland Downtown and the Duniway Portland, which is located directly across the street from the Hilton.
What is the hotel cut-off date?
The last day to book a room is January 3, 2023. We suggest that you book your room early, since the hotel can sell out before the cut-off date.
What is the hotels cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to arrival in order to avoid a one night's room and tax fee.

Will there be a registration fee for the Winter Meeting?
There will be a registration fee for the Winter Meeting.
Is AAPT membership required to attend the 2023 AAPT Meeting?
AAPT membership is not required to attend the Winter Meeting, however, the registration rate is lower for AAPT members.
How long will my membership or renewal take to process?
A new membership or membership renewal will take 48 hours to process before the member rate will be available.
Do I need tickets to attend events or sessions?
Your 2023 AAPT Winter Meeting badge will be required for access to all sessions, workshops and the exhibit hall. You will need to obtain tickets to attend some special events.

What is the attire for the meeting?
Casual attire is recommended. Comfortable shoes and a sweater or jacket are also recommended.
Will I be photographed or videotaped?
AAPT takes photos and videos at this meeting. By registering, you give AAPT permission to use any photos or video taken at the conference in which you appear.
Workshops
Will workshops take place during the meeting?
Workshops will be held January 14-15. Workshops will be held at Vernier Science Education, Portland Community College (transportation provided from the conference hotel) and the Portland Hilton Downtown. Registration is required for all workshops and CEU hours will be available.
Speakers
How will I know if my abstract has been accepted?
All abstracts will be accepted. You will not receive a notification. You should reference the online program.
Are speakers required to register to be eligible to present?
All contributed talks, posters presenters and invited member speakers, including recently lapsed members (within the last five years) are required to register for the meeting in order to present.
How do I cancel my abstract?
If you are not able to present at the meeting and need to cancel your abstract for urgent reasons, please e-mail programs@aapt.org.
